Le Coton & Alpaca

Le Coton & Alpaca is a very soft blend made of 66% GOTS-certified cotton and 34% Super Fine Alpaca.
It is our softest yarn after Le Petit Silk & Mohair (which is not often knitted on its own, unlike Coton & Alpaca).

Le Coton & Alpaca is in yarn balls of approx 50g each, with approx 90m / 98.4 yards.

Our cotton and alpaca yarn is so soft and luxurious. You may occasionally come across a small knot (up to 3 per skein). These knots are part of the spinning process and reflect our commitment to sustainability — each strand of this beautiful yarn is used rather than wasted.

With the softness and fluffiness of Alpaca, some pilling may occur over time and with wear. A small specialty depilling tool, used gently, can remove these pills.

Le Coton & Alpaca is spun and dyed in Italy.

5 mm / US 8 / UK 6
6 mm / US 10 / UK 4
7 mm / US 10¾ / UK 2
The fabric will be looser and more fluid when using larger needles.

Gauge
17 sts × 26 rows = 10 cm / 4" on 4 mm (US 6 / UK 8) needles
16–17 sts × 28 rows = 10 cm / 4" on 5 mm (US 8 / UK 6) needles
15 sts × 26 rows = 10 cm / 4" on 6 mm (US 10 / UK 4) needles
13 sts × 24 rows = 10 cm / 4" on 7 mm (US 10¾ / UK 2) needles

How to wash:
Always handwash and lay flat to dry - Handle with care and make sure not to stretch your knit while wet.
