We are very happy to present the Pavuk Pullover, designed by Teti Lutsak ~ Tetisknitgarden 🐚

A few words from Teti

"I am a botanist turned knitwear designer.
My journey, which started as a creative escape from strict lab protocols, became a way to express myself and embrace my Ukrainian heritage.
I love sharing stories and traditions of my homeland through my designs. My designs are also very much inspired by nature.
I love floral colorwork patterns growing down the yokes, soft warm colors and delicate textures, feminine silhouettes and smart little details.
I live in Haarlem, The Netherlands together with my husband and our ginger cat Katzie, who often is the star of my YouTube podcast episodes."

Teti writes about the Pavuk Pullover

Pavuk means “spider” in Ukrainian, but we are not talking arachnids here. We use that same name for a traditional Christmas decoration — web-like mobiles made of straw.
“Spiders” were meant to hang from the ceiling in a corner called “pokut” (icon corner, decorated with embroidered cloth etc). Just where the real spiders prefer to live. The “spider’s” mission was to absorb all the negative energy, purify the ambiance and bring happiness to the house. Every year during Christmas celebration the old spider was burned and a new one created.
