You may (and most probably) already know Caitlin! Known as @boylandknitworks on Instagram, Caitlin recently designed The Seward Socks in Le Petit Lambswool, presented in our first Newsletter of October 🧡

Talkeetna (tall-KEET-nah) is such a special piece and fun colorwork which has already received so much love around the community! It is designed with Le Petit Lambswool in the vivid colors of Grey Brown, Dark Orange Grey, Yellow Mustard, Turquoise, Forest Green and Dark Green 🧡 We have so much fun discovering the different color combinations chosen for different Talkeetna sweaters, the possibilities being endless!

Caitlin writes about The Talkeetna Sweater

"This top-down colorwork sweater was inspired by the stunning colors of @bichesetbuches Le Petit Lambswool. I hung the yarn on my wall partly as a pretty decoration, and this fall I was inspired to make this graphic design inspired by the changing fall colors here in Alaska. This sweater is named for Talkeetna, a charming and unique town located in Dena’ina Ełnena (Dena’ina homeland) in Alaska. The beautiful fall colors of the northern state served as the inspiration for this design. I love the result and I hope you will as well! 🧡
Talkeetna is size-inclusive, and is adjustable for body and sleeve length preferences. A huge thank you to my wonderful test knitters who are so talented, enthusiastic and amazing! You can see their projects on ravelry and in my story highlights. They’re really so gorgeous, every one."

A few words from Caitlin

"I love designing patterns that find the perfect combination of fun, interesting and approachable to knit while also being visually striking and beautiful. For me, knitting is half about the process and half the final product, so it is important that I love both parts. I’m constantly inspired by the beauty of Alaska and the extremes that make this place so special. There is beauty in every tiny thing, if you just pay attention."
