'The Garter Edge Vest is a casual, easy-to-layer V-neck vest with a relaxed silhouette and deep armholes. It is worked seamlessly from the top down, with the garter stitch neckband and armhole bands knitted at the same time as the body.'

CONSTRUCTION

'The back neckline and shoulders are worked first, with short rows used to shape the back shoulders. The back body and armhole bands are then worked flat to the underarms. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders to work the front sections down to the base of the V-neck, where they are joined. The front and back are connected under the arms with small gussets, and the body is worked in the round down to the ribbed hem. Since the vest is knit topdown, the length can be adjusted during knitting (note: yardage will vary with adjustments).'
