Hazelnut Sweater by Joanna Filip

Sale price€111,06 EUR

We are delighted to present the Hazelnut Sweater designed by Joanna Filip with Le Petit Lambswool held double 🐚

'If I had to describe this sweater, I’d say it’s the most addictive knit ever. I've no idea why, but knitting these diamonds felt like leveling up in a game. Weird comparison, but that’s exactly how it felt! Every diamond was a little win, and by the end, I couldn’t stop smiling at how it turned out. It's definitely one of those projects that makes you fall in love with knitting all over again.' – Joanna Filip

Ā We already started discovering it in progress in the month of September, when Joanna came to the Biches & BĆ»ches Pop in Paris and we had the immense joy to spend time with Joanna and discover her design wip in real life, and followed closely on the process through Instagram. We have also the joy to discover Joanna's wonderful test knitters versions in different colorways – spotting Hazelnut Sweater Editions in Grey Brown, Medium Blue and Light Pink, all in Le Petit Lambswool held double.

Words we have already spotted about it

'It has simply been a pleasure to test-knit @joann.fil's design. Simple in expression, but so fun to knit — and with many lovely details. Definitely not the last time I'll be knitting with yarn from @bichesetbuches either.' – Christina @theknitwearlovingdane

'Beautifully designed with easy to follow charts. The Le Petit Lambswool softens as you knit and has a powerful drape after blocking.' – @curnyn1010

Details

Construction
The lace pattern of subtle triangles is inspired by the form of hazelnuts, translating their natural geometry into a soft, tactile knit. The light brown color gives the sweater a warm and natural feel. The sweater is seamlessly knitted in a dedicated pattern from the top down. The back is worked first, followed by the shoulders. Once the back and fronts are joined, they are knitted together in the round and finished with a 1x1 rib hem. The sleeves are then worked in the round, with two options included: a straight sleeve with a few decreases at the cuff, or a more fitted sleeve that tapers slightly toward the elbow. Finally, the stitches are picked up along the neckline to make the neckband. The Pattern is fully charted.
