We are thrilled to present the original Wool Bundle for Nid Dickey-Vest, designed by Rui Yamamuro, with different Biches & Bûches yarn bases 🐚

"I have a passion for designing and knitting classic, elegant and comfortable garments for modern living. The common denominator of my design knitting process is top-down simplicity. This is so that I can freely adjust the length and make changes to suit the knitter's life.

Nid Dickey-vest has buttons on the sides to hold the garment in place and can be worn as a vest or a cowl. The pattern is varied for a modern design. It also comes with an extra pattern file on how to knit longer lengths so it can be worn by both men and women.

Nid Dickey-vest is a dickey-vest in textured stitches. It is knitted from the top down and the length is adjustable to your preference. Its buttonholes on the sides allow you to style it in different ways: you can wear it unbuttoned as a cape over a coat, or when the coat is taken off, you can keep it as a vest, buttoned, to keep you warm."

Nid Dickey-Vest is created in two versions:

  • Short Version - created with Biches & Bûches Le Gros Lambswool
  • Longer Version - created with the Biches & Bûches yarn combination of Le Lambswool + Le Petit Silk & Mohair 

The Wool Bundles are offered for the original length of the design and with the corresponding Wool quantity. If you wish to knit a longer version of either of them, you can simply add the same Wool to your cart in additional yarn balls.

  • The original versions are made with:
    • Short Version - Biches & Bûches Le Gros Lambswool, in Off White
    • Longer Version - Biches & Bûches Le Lambswool, in Dark Green Grey + Le Petit Silk & Mohair, in Grey Brown

  • You can also knit your Nid Dickey-Vest in any other color you wish, either choosing another color of Le Gros Lambswool or of Le Lambswool and its matching Le Petit Silk & Mohair, depending on the design you wish to make. Select then "Custom Color" when adding the Wool Bundle to your cart, and share your color choice with us during checkout, in the Special Instructions Box (Example: "Le Gros Lambswool Light Brown")

"The back yoke is knit first with increases from the shoulders down. The front stitches are picked up separately along each shoulder, then joined after the front neck slope shaping. The armhole ribs are then added before the hem. The back and front hems are knitted separately, and only the front has double knit sides with buttonholes.
