Cramond Sweater by Coco Amour Knitwear
We are delighted to present the original yarn kit for the beautiful Cramond Sweater, designed by Coco Amour Knitwear and knitted with Biches & Bûches Le Gros Lambswool and Le Petit Silk & Mohair 🐚
'Cramond Sweater is named after a beach in Edinburgh, Scotland, that I used to visit when I was a young girl. The shade of Biches & Bûches yarn I used for my sample (Beige) immediately reminded me of the colour of the sand on that particular beach, so the name came naturally.
When I visited that beach, I remember that despite the sunshine, there was always a gentle chill in the air, and I often wished I had a cosy jumper like Cramond to wrap around my summer clothes.
The design began with my desire for an oversized, comfortable sweater in reverse half-fisherman’s rib, with a dropped-shoulder construction. The clean edges, finished only with a simple Italian bind-off, emerged naturally during the design process, creating a relaxed yet elegant look. To add structure and contrast, I incorporated a twisted rib neckline.'
