We are delighted to present Mariza Sweater, designed by Cecile Fombeur with Le Gros Silk & Mohair 🐚

We met Cecile, Knitwear designer based in France, as we had neighbouring booths during Knit Eat Festival in Lyon, and discovered her two gorgeous designs made with Le Gros Silk & Mohair, Erin Cardigan and Mariza Sweater. We knew instantly that we would love to welcome them to our Designer Friends Collection and present them to you.

About Mariza Sweater
MARIZA is a soft and simple sweater, worked in Faux Fisherman’s Rib on the front and back, with stockinette stitch sleeves. Its straight shape and slightly puffed sleeves give it a modern, feminine look that’s easy to wear every day. The Faux Fisherman’s Rib is very easy to knit — a perfect stitch for beginners or for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable project.

Stitches used
Faux Fisherman’s Rib is easier to knit than traditional Fisherman’s Rib, since it doesn’t require working double stitches. It is an ideal stitch for beginners, as it uses only knit and purl stitches. This stitch is also reversible and has the great advantage of not curling.

The Yarn
Biches & Bûches Le Gros Silk & Mohair
Approx. 6 (6, 7, 7) (8, 8) skeins
If you are afraid to be missing a bit of yarn at the end, we suggest adding 1 skein of the same color to your cart (that way you can make sure to have the same dyelot)
