We are thrilled to present the original Wool Bundle for beautiful Cramond Sweater by Coco Amour Knitwear, designed with Biches & Bûches Le Gros Lambswool and Le Petit Silk & Mohair 🐚

"Cramond Sweater is named after a beach in Edinburgh, Scotland that I used to visit as a young girl.  The colour of the yarn I used from Biches et Buches (beige) for the sample remind me so much of the colour of the sand at that particular beach it was instantly named.  Whilst visiting that beach I always remember despite the sunshine there was always a slight chill in the air and I could have used a cosy sweater like Cramond to throw on over my summer clothing.

The design began with my desire to have a cosy oversized Reverse Half Fisherman’s rib sweater with a drop shoulder construction.  The clean edges using only a simple Italian bind off emerged organically along the knitting process to create a more relaxed but also elegant look, paired with a twisted rib collar to add structure and a contrast in texture."

"Cramond Sweater is a cosy oversized sweater, worked from the top down in Reverse Half Fisherman’s rib stitch.

First the back is worked back and forth with increases either side. Stitches are then picked up along the increased edge to form each shoulder whilst shaping the neck. The front is then joined and knitted back and forth, before joining the back and front to work in the round for the remainder of the body. Stitches are picked up around the armhole for the sleeves, which are worked in the round. All edges are bound off using the Italian Bind-off technique. To finish, stitches are picked up and knitted in twisted rib along the neck edge."
