Inese Sang x Biches & Bûches

We are delighted to present the mesmerizing Meadowlight Shawl designed by Inese Sang with Biches & Bûches Le Petit Lambswool and offering different style options to your shawl 🐚

'Both Meadowlight and Meadownbright shawls draw their inspiration from the lovely marsh marigolds. Small, bright yellow flowers scattered along the water’s edge resembling tiny clusters of star constellations. I wanted to create a light yet simple lace design, a breezy project that takes minimal yardage and effort to make, yet is so compelling and fun to knit, you can’t stop at just one (perfect for gift knitting, if you ask me or many of my test knitters). It is slightly reminiscent of pointelle, but more structured and with an added adventure to choose your own customization.'

Details

Construction
Meadowlight is the more subdued and minimal from both designs compared to Meadowbright. It is worked in the traditional top-down triangle structure, with simple lace columns running down the wingspan that extend into a lace grid with dainty lace flowers in them. The pattern offers 2 sizes -mini and medium and comes with 3 customization options for each size: original, colourblocked and embroidered. While the original design is knit in one solid colour, additional customizations in the pattern offer you the options to knit the lace grid in a contrasting colour and also an option to replace the lace flowers with the embroidered ones. The edge is worked in a sewn fold-over picot edge for a clean and delicate finish.

How to wash
