Color Monochrome Version

Just like us, get wondered by the Amikomi Yoke Cardigan that Noriko designed with beautiful colors of Le Petit Lambswool, creating a beautiful and delicate design. Noriko has designed both a Cardigan version and the Sweater version,

We love this design so much, so poetic and so subtle 🌻🐚🧡

A few words from Noriko

"I live near the sea with my husband and daughter and always think about knitting. The art of knitting was handed down to me by my grandmother, who lived at home with us. After university, I ran an indie bookstore and contributed to magazines and books, I rediscovered my passion for knitting, fueled by the arrival of my daughter. Since then, I've been entranced by the enchanting realm of yarn and needles. I want to design clothes that are standard but have a subtle uniqueness."

Noriko writes about Le Petit Lambswool

"The myriad of beautiful and gentle colors of Le Petit Lambswool has truly captivated me. The texture, offering a connection to nature, and its delightful softness after a wet blocking are details I hold dear. These elements played a pivotal role in inspiring my latest creations, the Amikomi Yoke Sweater & Cardigan."

This is a top-down, oversized, circular yoke sweater. “Amikomi” is a Japanese word meaning “stranded knitting”. It offers a relaxed and cozy fit in both the sleeves and the body. You can adjust the body and sleeves lengths as you like, but note that this will affect the required amount of yarn.
It is worked in the round starting from the ribbed neck, with a double knitting border worked around it, then the yoke is worked down to the underarms. For a visual appeal, several sets of short rows are added between the colorwork pattern to make the back higher. After the sleeves are separated, the body is worked in round to the ribbed hem. The sleeves are also knit in the round.
The pattern includes two versions charts: Multicolor and Monochrome.
*Differences from my “Amikomi Yoke Cardigan” pattern: On this sweater, all rows of the yoke start at the back of the left sleeve where the jog is least noticeable. Therefore, the short sections are different from the cardigan. The sizes are also different.
