Primevère by Walaa Emad

 We are thrilled to present the original Wool Bundle for the beautiful Primevère sweater, designed by Walaa Emad 🐚 Walaa created Primevère with the Biches & Bûches Wool "Le Cashmere & Lambswool", which has the same gauge as "Le Petit Lambswool", so you can also choose your Wool Bundle with this one if you wish!

"I am a knitwear designer who loves to create a combination of simple designs with subtle details alongside more intricate and engaging pieces. I find joy in both blending different techniques and textures that are rarely paired together and making simple and straightforward designs. My inspiration often starts with the yarn itself; I fall in love with its colors, blend, and texture, then choose complementary designs that enhance both the yarn and the overall aesthetic. Typically, inspiration strikes as I begin each project; I knit a basic swatch, open the chart program, and dive in  immersing myself in the process.

For Primevère, my original concept was quite different, but it evolved as I began working on it, and I’m delighted with the outcome. I wanted to showcase the gorgeous colours of Le Cashmere & Lambswool, so I aimed for something easy to knit yet visually captivating,  which led me to incorporate Estonian inlay, also referred to as roosimine. This straightforward and simple technique creates an embroidery-like pattern through floats on the right side, resulting in a unique and distinctive appearance. Moreover, I added a touch of flair with an eyelet cabled hem and cuffs to break the of the all-over stockinette and give it a bit of interest while keeping the simplicity of the overall look"

• Le Cashmere & Lambswool is the same gauge as Le Petit Lambswool, so you can also choose that yarn instead if you want a Wool a bit less warm and a larger choice of colors, select then "Custom Colors Le Petit Lambswool" when adding the Wool Bundle to your cart, and share your color choice with us during checkout in the special instructions box (Example: "MC - Le Petit Lambswool in Off White, CC - Le Petit Lambswool in Orange Red")
