Rui Yamamuro x Amirisu x Biches & Bûches

Presentation by Amirisu

The skirt’s simple stitch pattern pairs easily with existing sweaters as well as the set (with January Sweater). The length is adjustable up to midi, making it a versatile piece for any season or occasion.

This set (with the matching January Sweater) was designed to enjoy textured stitchwork across seasons. Holding mohair together adds an airy lightness and soft, deep shadow. The rhythm of changing patterns lends a modern edge to classic stitches. Paired with the matching skirt, it offers a gentle, effortless way to dress up your daily life. Choosing darker shades lends a more subdued, chic atmosphere to the pattern.

Details

Construction
A top-down, seamless skirt worked throughout with two strands held together—one Fingering-weight yarn and one Lace-weight yarn—using a honeycomb stitch pattern. First, the waistband is worked in the round, and without cutting the yarn, the skirt yoke is then knitted in the round. Short rows are used to create a front-to-back height difference, increases are worked at the sides to shape the hips, and the skirt is knitted down to the hem. An elastic band is inserted into the waistband.
