We are thrilled to present Skipavika Jumper, designed by Astrid at the Atelier with Biches & Bûches Le Petit Lambswool and Le Gros Silk & Mohair 🐚

'The inspiration behind Skipavika came from a swatch I knitted in seed stitch while working on color combinations with our yarn bases. I rediscovered the simple beauty of this stitch. I then added stripes to give the sweater a light, airy feel, paired with a contrasting color. When I look at the Skipavika Jumper, I think of holidays, happiness, and life outdoors. The name actually comes from the road leading to my grandmother’s house, located at the top of an island south of Bergen, in Norway.'

Details

Skipavika Jumper is worked in seed stitch, holding two strands together, with a striped motif in a contrasting color.
The back and front are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together. The lower part of the sweater features open side slits. The sleeves are worked in the round up to the armholes, then the sleeve caps are worked flat. The V-neckline of the Skipavika Jumper is worked in seed stitch.
