Caitlin Hunter Talvinen
Talvinen is a design by Caitlin Hunter from Boylandknitworks.
The colors Caitlin ended up choosing reminded her of a twist on traditional finnish garments, which often use blue, red, white and gold in intricately embroidered designs. Her design was inspired by the Sielulintu - the soul-bird in Finnish folklore.
Talvinen means winter in finnish. it is a little tribute to her finnish grandmother, Julia, and a reminder of the beauty of winter, her favorite season. she has been working on this bird motif for AGES, and is so pleased it finally worked it out to her liking.
The original color combination is:
01_ dark orange grey + grey brown + turquoise
You can find the pattern on Caitlin’s ravelry page.
