We are absolutely thrilled to present the BELLA BLOCKING sweater designed by Anne Ventzel which is our first collaboration with the Danish designer.

Anne writes about the BELLA BLOCKING sweater

BELLA BLOCKING is a feminine sweater. Its two colors create a wonderful opportunity for you to create your own unique version. I’ve knitted it in multiple combinations of colors and yarns - some with a lovely spring vibe, others with more of a fall feeling.
The pattern contains the directions for a long-sleeved version of BELLA BLOCKING with a regular body length and a three-quarter-length sleeved version with a shorter body length.

The sweater designed in Biches & Bûches yarn has 3/4 length sleeves and a slightly cropped body length (please see measurements below).

What is in my Wool bundle?

You can go have a look in the tab called "With your wool bundle", right next to the "Description" tab :)

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down and has no finishing work.
First, the back yoke is worked back and forth, and short rows are worked to create a good fit. The characteristic stranded pattern is worked in the middle of the yoke, creating color change.
The front and back are joined at the bottom of the armholes, and the body is worked in the round. After this, stitches are picked up and knitted along the neck opening, and a neck edge is worked in twisted rib.
At the end, stitches are picked up and knitted along the armholes, and the sleeves are worked, with short rows in the first section to optimize the fit.
The characteristic stranded pattern is worked at the bottoms of
the sleeves.
All edges are worked in twisted rib and bound off using the Italian bind-off technique.

It varies from person to person how much positive ease you like in your clothes. It can be a good idea to measure some of your favorite sweaters to help you choose the perfect size for you.
Anne likes a slightly looser fit, so she has chosen 23 cm of positive ease for her versions of BELLA BLOCKING, and she recommends a minimum of 15 cm of positive ease.
