Description

ISAGER ALPACA 3 is an I-cord spun yarn.

As Alpaca 2 it consists of 50% wool and 50% alpaca. The yarn is spun in a way that gives it a special soft and airy feel. Used individually it is perfect for a sweater which will become light, all tough the yarn is thick.

The yarn should be knitted on large needles. Alpaca 3 is knitted on needles 5 for edges, otherwise on needles 6 mm / US10 or 7 mm /US 10 1/2.

We like to work the Isager Alpaca 3 using the following needle sizes for the following gauges / tensions:
Alpaca 3 worked single using needle size 5mm / US 8 / US 6: 16 sts and 20 rows
Alpaca 3 + Spinni using needle size 5.5mm / US 9 / US 5: 15 sts and 22 rows
Alpaca 3 + Silk Mohair using needle size 6mm / US 10 / US 4: 12 sts and 18 rows

We like to work the Isager Alpaca 3 using needle sizes 5,5mm / US 9 / UK 5 to 7mm / US 10 3/4 / UK 2
