We are thrilled to present the Jälki Vest designed by Camille Romano, and its original Wool bundle 🐚

“Jälki means tracks (like animal tracks or imprints) in Finnish. This was my inspiration for the eyelet pattern on the vest. It reminds me of forest walks and time outdoors, where you might stumble upon a footprint and wonder what it is. It’s also one of the perfect settings to wear the vest." - Camille

The vest is meant to be worn open, so there are no buttons and the fronts do not meet.

It is sleeveless and worked from bottom to top until the underarms.
Then, the fronts and back are separated and worked individually.
They are seamed at the shoulders using the 3-needle bind off technique (you can use another technique if you want to).
The armhole edgings are picked up and worked in the round.
The collar is the special part of this vest, you pick up the stitches with even smaller needles so that you work a polo collar in double knitting- it’s a nice finishing.
The yarn used for the collar is the thinner version of the working yarn, you’ll need one ball of Le Petit Lambswool for it.
All lengths can be customised but keep in mind that this will affect the yardage.
