A few words from Jessica

"Hello! My name is Jessica McDonald, and I love to knit so much that I started designing knitting patterns. I live in a tiny town in the mountains of Idaho with my husband, our children, and a large variety of animals including a small flock of Finnsheep. I love to design knitting patterns that are both simple and beautiful. In my mind, knitting should be joyful and relaxing so I take care to write patterns that will be easy for knitters to follow. My inspiration comes from the natural world around me. I live in a rural area with mountains all around, and as I am designing, I like to pull the beauty of nature into my designs. Pine trees are a repeating feature in my colorwork and for Bough I have arranged the trees into a wreath that encircles the shoulders."

Jessica writes about Bough

"Inspired by an evergreen wreath, Bough features a lovely wreath of pine boughs wrapped around the shoulders. Bough is knit seamlessly from the top down in the round. The sweater is knit to a cropped length for layering over dresses and skirts. The top-down construction makes it easy to add length if you would like. Short rows are worked underneath the colorwork to shape the neckline."

"Le Lambswool is the perfect yarn for Bough. Not only does it have the perfect colors for my inspiration, Dark Grey Green and Light Grey, but it is also the perfect weight for a winter sweater. I found that the Le Lambswool knit up at a worsted weight gauge for me, which was perfect as worsted is my favorite weight to knit with and wear. Le Lambswool creates an absolutely dreamy fabric. It is the perfect combination of rustic and soft, and I love how the fabric is airy and warm with just a touch of drape to it. It's an absolutely stunning sweater yarn, and I know I'll be knitting with it again."
