Camille Romano x Laine Magazine x Biches & Bûches

We are delighted to present the beautiful Dynamite Vest, designed by Camille Romano for The Art of the Sea — a stunning knitting pattern book inspired by the world of the Moomins, published by Laine Magazine and bringing together talented designers from around the world 🐚

Camille designed the Dynamite Vest using our Biches & Bûches Le Petit Silk & Mohair, in a refined combination of three warm brown tones.

'The inspiration for the Dynamite Slipover comes from the character of Stinky, whom Camille Romano finds visually fascinating. She drew inspiration from his fluffy coat and small rounded horns, translated into purl textures and a bobble panel adorning the front of the garment.

The vest is worked from the top down with a slightly cropped fit. Easy to wear, it pairs effortlessly with a variety of styles and silhouettes. Stinky is the mischievous little troublemaker of Moominvalley, obsessed with finding ‘Manhattan dynamite’ to help him rob a bank — hence the name of the design! The zigzag ribbing recalls cartoon-like fuses ready to be lit.'
